SmartMix

This is an easy way to create new playlists or expand an existing playlist.

1. Start by creating a new playlist using iTunes or PowerSearch with a few songs that you want to be part of that playlist.

2. Choose that playlist from inside Nexus. You may need to click the Refresh button to update Nexus with the new playlist if it was created in iTunes.

3. Click the SmartMix button on the tool bar above the playlist displayed in the playlist window.

4. Select the number of songs you want in your final playlist from the SmartMix dialog. You may want to select more songs than your final number to make sure you get the best songs from your library.

5. You can also have SmartMix locate songs you don't have that would match with the songs you do have. Click the check box to add songs you don't have. The songs added to the playlist that you don't own will be highlighted in orange font.

To purchase songs featured in a SmartMix playlist click the Amazon button next to each song. This will open that song in the selected music store where you can purchase the song. You can preview the song and purchase it from the Amazon Store. After purchasing the song click the Refresh button above the playlist displayed in Nexus. Your song title will change from an orange font to black. This indicates you have the song in your library and it is officially now part of this playlist. If you the song doesn't change, double click the song and use the [Locate Song] function to update Nexus.

HOT TIP: It is less time consuming to first purchase all the songs you want from a playlist then click the Refresh button one time when all your purchases are complete.

SmartMix Auto Mode
You can also have SmartMix determine the best result from your collection by selecting Auto in the pop up menus on the SmartMix dialog. Using Auto will leave the selection of songs and the final number up to Nexus based on the make up of your music library. Nexus will evaluate your music Library for the best possible mix.

What SmartMix Does
SmartMix will locate songs in your library that are similar or closely related to the songs you already have in your playlist. It will then add those songs automatically to your playlist until the desired number of songs are met. After adding your songs Nexus will run the Compose function to arrange the songs in a preferred listening order.

Removing Songs From a Playlist
• To remove a song - click on the song you want to remove and press your delete or backspace key on your keyboard.

• To remove multiple songs - click on the first song you want to remove then hold down the shift key and select the last song you want to remove. Then press your delete or backspace key on your keyboard.

Saving Playlists
Once you're satisfied with your playlist you can save it to iTunes, MediaPlayer or the NexTune Music Network and FaceBook.
